CitizenM Schiphol Airport- “Great Experience, New Concept, Great Value”

Both my wife and me were impressed, on arrival. All the way from checking in to out, It was an amazing and new experience! If just to choose just 1, It would be the great value. Seems like there was bedbug, otherwise it would certainly be 5 stars. If in Netherland, We will be back again and again!

Amsterdam in World War II Walking Tour

Even from the Start (Enrolling & finding more about the tour), Peter took time to answer our queries. From then I have no doubt this would be a great tour. After enrolling, Peter provided comprehensive attachments, making sure how we meet and also wonderful articles & video to refer in advance for better understanding of tour.

It was Cold & Windy, and 3 hrs walking, but yet Peter's Passion and Hospitality ensued all of us were "included" in this excellent history tour. In fact, It was so exciting that this tour felt like a short duration trip. Every Major Stops, We got to experience what was going during that time and still most places look the same.

With all history tours, There would be a period of Tragic time, and amidst all these, Humanity prevails. It is great to hear about the spirit of, helping others, especially the minority and rebuilding this City after the Occupation. Throughout this Tour, We experienced Peter sincerity towards us, Foreigners in this City, coupled with his generous knowledge sharing, this is one of best, if not the best tour we had in Amsterdam.

We highly recommend Peter and this tour. Thank you Peter, It was wonderful meeting you.

Late Night Cravings: Pho in Dalat (Vietnamese Beef Noodles, Soup Based)

Rewind back to 2009 Dec, I was in Dalat, Vietnam.
This is the only place I ever felt so relaxed for a holiday overseas.

I will share more of its beauty, time-stopping appeal, and scenic surrounds with awesome cool fresh air shortly after THIS. Now I am thinking, craving for the best Beef noodles I ever ate, and this would be in Dalat (Beef noodles as "Pho" in Vietnam, are very delicious).

It's TOTALLY yummy, no kidding

A stall hidden in market, if not for our guide recommendation, we would not have discovered such wonderful taste. I am looking forward to go back Dalat and obtain this taste again from this stall.

I am very happy to share this superb food experience with you.
Besides food experiences, Dalat offers a real retreat from busyness of life.
Time seems to pass very slowly, and if you are those who need to pack a lot into itinerary, time will stop for you, just to recharge there.

Look no more to Paris, it could be French Alps you thought you are at Dalat (City of Eternal Spring).
Your eyes will feed into the charms of nature- beautiful gardens, lakes and waterfalls.
No wonder a honeymoon hotspot, a place which flows with romantic feel.

The beauty of Dalat and great way of life there, I feel encourages creativity and arts to flourish there.

There is a cafe, besides a beautiful lake with Swans. We took our time to sip very inviting vietnamese coffee , this is pure pleasure, overlooking wonderful surroundings in nice cooling weather. After, we went for a walk around, and ordered beancurd with ginger, this was the best beancurd I ever tasted too.....

Till next time I see you Dalat, I will remember how I felt so relaxed here.

What really is Food to us?

Some of us always look forward to lunch time. (Emotional needs)
Besides Thoughts, Water and Oxygen, food is one of few items we take in daily. (Energy needs)
We enjoy eating together with family & friends (Bonding needs)
Fish's Omega-3 fatty acid is good for the heart (Health benefits)
Rashes or tiredness experienced from intake of some type of food or obesity from comfort eating (ill effects)

World in its simplest form is each of us a human.
With Food empowering us on all levels- our Emotional, Energy, Bonding needs and w/ health benefits,
We will feel and do better, as a human.

Eating food right would then empower the whole world- Big ministry!

Xin Cuisine- One place I will host overseas or local friends in Singapore

When our close friend initiated to bring us to Xin Cuisine for birthday celebration,
my first thought (based on the name), could it be Western & Chinese fusion?

On actual day, I discovered It's Chinese Cuisine with a Very relaxing ambience!
The food was very tasty- It would be one of the few places I will host my overseas or local friends to Chinese cuisine in future (Hua Ting, Tien Court, Etc).
Whatever we ordered tasted great! Be it Meat, Vegetable, Soup, Etc!

Just to entice you! lol!

The staff were friendly, provided great service, and a relaxing surrounds for family & friend gathering. One of the few restaurants I felt so relaxed!

We will be back again & again!

Heavy heart after Dachau visit @ Germany

Nearly missed this, was focusing on other tours offered at Munich Central Station. Somehow it caught our eyes last moment. Good to know they accepted cards on portable handheld machine, we bought two tours- this and Neuschwanstein Castle (an inspiration for Disney castles, will share later)

The tour guide was very knowledgable and able to manage his flock of audiences well. Some traveling required as Dachau concentration camp was about 10 miles northwest of Munich. In case hungry as morning tour, there is a cafe offering reasonable priced food.

On entrance gate, "Work will set you free" (literally in death). Close to now, this camp was setup in March 1933. The first, later as a model for many other concentration camps, by National Socialist (Nazi) government. Initially for political prisoners, then Jehovah's witness, homosexuals, etc, and finally Jews (due to increased persecution). There was a gas chamber but no credible evidence of it being used to murder humans. However a process filtered off those termed as too sick or weak to continue work, and were sent to killings by euthanasia or in firing range and gallows.

As American forces approached in April 1945, the prisoners was forced to a death march by Germans, who shot any who could not continue. However, in May, American forces liberated those prisoners. 

Heavy hearts after we left- how could we humans be that evil. 

A Family-Friendly Restaurant in Singapore: MEZZA9, Grand Hyatt Singapore

Upon entering, its atmosphere embraces you to feel excitement and culinary delights to come. MEZZA9 was conceptualized by Andreas Stalder- who introduced ‘a la minute’ cooking to Hyatt (food freshly prepared in show kitchens in front of diners) more than 20 years ago. This changed the dining scene, and a common feature today in the industry.

Indeed a Family-Friendly Restaurant as many locals and tourists brought their children along. You would also experienced service of a certain Hyatt style.

MEZZA9 offers a variety of cuisine- chinese, western, japanese & etc. Both times I went, it was enjoyable and the food was yummy! (Try ordering the grill platter)

And one of those things which attracted me to go back and again, would be their effort to organize a group to have happy birthday song re sang in tune of a trendy song.

This is THE reason I went US for the 1st time! Disneyland in Orlando!

The first time I went to Disneyland ever, was at Magic Kingdom.....It was so magical even queuing for the trams to the turnstiles....everyone was so hyped up....It was great just by soaking in pre-entrance atmosphere.....once we entered...it was amazing to be greeted by "Where Dreams come true" sign for photo taking.....

So cute the phone! Collect your 1st time Cool visit badges here!

IT was really a dream come true for me to visit disneyland where it is a dream for every kid since young to go there....To my delight, I was also handed a 1st timer badge.....very excellent service, cartoon figures such as Mickey, Minne, Goofy & Etc all came alive there...very vividly still in my memories.......

The shows were amazing too...not the long queues though....tip: fastpass, otherwise try to go during weekday or non holiday. The food though were burgers, ribs, fries....were yummy as well.....I took all the rides, experiences, photos with the cartoon figures all that I could have.....

One last thing You need to do, which is most important, MUST catch the amazing night fireworks!! It was surreal, the best show of a lifetime!

The overall experience in Disneyland, Orlando was wonderful.....so much so that I wish to come here again during my honeymoon. 2 years later I did that, I brought my beautiful wife to this amazing place once again....It was a super experience that my dream come true twice at the same place! Thank you Disney!

We could not believe our wonderful fate w/ steak, when asked the locals for a recommendation for most valued steak in Orlando. In my mind, I have already decided to go for the most popular steak houses. It was great that we was unable to locate one of those, thus we went to CRACKER BARREL (will always be in our minds as #1 top place to have great fresh steaks!) as recommended. The carpark lots were ample when we drove there, and the external architecture was nice. Once we stepped in, the ambience could not have been better....very positive, welcoming, it feels food lovers was readily welcome there....by the ever friendly waiter/waiteress.....If you ask me....all deserved recognition for their service there...but one stood up....Mr Jason (same first name as me)....provided such excellent hospitality to both my wife and me...that we asked if we could take a photo of him together with us! He gladly agreed! But the main star was the FRESH steak served to both us....Ribeye steak in very generous portion and at a great price! The first bite was like...I needed to close my eyes to experience this as the yummy juicy freshness was slowly melting in my mouth....the fats...was a delight to be enjoyed......Totally heavenly I tell you! If ever need me to recommend just the best place of interest in Orlando (besides Disneyland, seaworld, premium outlets, Etc), Cracker Barrel that was it for me! It accelerated the lovely vibes for our time in Orlando!! And after having our yummy food....we were so full and needed for a takeaway for the leftovers.....Jason offered us a box each even without us having to say so...super! Then we went over to their creative corners with very nice stuff made my wife even super duper happy, and thus me too (x2).

Their freshness cooked in original taste of those steak made my wife (non steak lover) became a super fan of theirs and me too (one of very best steakhouses for me). After just that visit, we went back many times during that one week there in Orlando! To date, we still dream of visiting Cracker Barrel once more at least....anywhere....I will say it's our bucket list.....We really hope to go there again...or at least to their other branches in US......that's how amazing CRACKER BARREL experience was to us! THANK YOU, CRACKER BARREL!!!!! SEE YOU SOON WE HOPE!

My #1 wonder of the world: Niagara Falls

I went there two times, each time felt like dream came true for me. It was such an amazing sight the waterfall. We took the ferry down at the falls, it felt awesome w/ water splashing onto your face...super! First time I went by a chinese tour group, the other time I drove there. Both times are equally great! And there are two sides of the waterfall, either U.S or Canada side. To go Canada side, as the view is better most will say. It is also cool to visit the restaurant on level 2 as in the evening we can see from there rainbow colours shining across to the waterfalls. Beautiful sight to behold with your love one, which I did with my wife.

Hidden Gem in Ontario, Canada: The Explorers Cafe

During our stay in Ontario, while exploring nearby drives around our accommodation, we managed to chance upon one of the best yummy steak I ever ate....so yummy that it will literally melt in your mouth slowly and with your eyes close enjoying each melt WOW! Didn't know that this is a lonely planet featured place till we exited The Explorers Cafe in King Street, Midland. Service and Ambience were so good!

I love their Rosemary Chicken sandwich very much.
It's very delicious and comforting, especially if you need a quick lunch yet a good break to fill you up before the next dash.

Their mushroom soup is really marvellous, densely populated w/ flavour each sip. Yummmmy!

Black Forest

Many of us I believe would have fond memories staring or eating a Black Forest cake, not just yummy, and also of its delicious appearance. This cake, a German dessert, named Schwarzwälder kirschtorte after the Black Forest region in southeastern Germany.

Also...Black Forest is the home of the Cuckoo Clock. A vast range of Cuckoo Clocks (small, big, hanging, stand, cute, beautiful, creative, different cuckoo sound & Etc.) are sold here and distribute globally.

This is only a few displayed, wait till you experience a forest of them there

In such a chilling weather, these cuckoo shops even do cooking right hot on spot. The delicious smell its.......too unbearable and this was the result haha:

Though the journey is long, its quite satisfying to take busyness off the mind just by enjoying the scenic here.
